I have already been on exchange for 6 months and it has been the best 6 months of my life. Time passes so quickly while on exchange and it feels like just got here. I have tried many new things, met new people, tried many different foods. I have gained so much from this amazing experience. In the beginning I was scared because of the language barrier. I was so nervous and I felt like maybe I made the wrong decision doing exchange. But I was so wrong! Exchange has been the best decision of my life! Now I am more independent and open to new people and have a family and friends from all around the world. Of course, is not always easy and happy but all the advantages that it brings to your life sure makes it worth it. My language gets better and now I don’t have a problem with speaking or understanding at school. I am halfway through but I have still have so much I want to do and see. This program is amazing and I’m so happy I found Rotary Youth Exchange when I did. I am so thankful for this opportunity and I have no regrets!
